My Thoughts On Niche Marketing 2.0

One of my subscribers has sent me an email asking
me about Patric Chan's Niche Marketing 2.0 so I
thought I share my answer with you.

Patric's concept seems sound in theory but I yet
to play around with it and test it myself so I
can't in all honesty say it works. I've seen a
draft version of his salesletter and it is well
written and appears to be a complete package in
that nothing is left out in that it includes even
hosting and an autoresponder for your Niche
Marketing 2.0 site.

My experience with web 2 sites such as Squidoo,
Hub pages etc does tell me that his Niche
Marketing 2.0 sites have potential. I like the
idea others providing content for one's site as
long as it's done responsibly as it's not easy to
keep providing content for your sites yourself
even if you outsource some of it.

Today I'm going to discuss 3 Reasons Why Adsense Is Essential For Content Sites.

Firsty to know why Adsense is essential for your content sites you have to know it works.

The idea is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is requested, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.

The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.

The different formatting enables the site owners the possibility of more click through from visitors who may or may not be aware of what they are clicking on. Believe it or not there was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The money generated only came into being when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content were the most important factors that is taken quite seriously. It still is. With the allure of money, of course.

How To Avoid Getting Your Adsense Account Terminated

Google, being the undisputable leader in search engines from then until now, is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.

For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.

So for those who are thinking of getting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.

Hidden texts. Filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.

Page cloaking. There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.

Multiple submissions. Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. Better check first if your domain is submitted already an a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.

Link farms. Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that.

Page rank for sale. If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.

Doorways. This is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines. There are many seo firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.

Multiple domains having the same content. In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP’s, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

Many of the above techniques apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites.

Not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.

Follow each step that has brought you success and then
repeat it. That's the real way to earn consistent profits.

In simple terms...

You need to identify what works - and stick with it!

To be able to do this it is important that you stay focused.

Set aside a specific time for work. It could be a few hours
in the morning, afternoon or evening. Whatever time's good
for you. During this time try not to get distracted from
doing what needs to be accomplished.

Don't start working on something new until the first task is
completely finished or it will slow down your progress.

Above all be consistent and focus on the ideas that work.
When you find something that works well for you keep doing
it and get as much out of it as possible.

A Word of Warning about Authors Library

I have received numerous emails in last couple of days offering Authors Library for sale.

However I have tested out this script and found to get it to work was not an easy task for anyone technically challenged.

It has quite a few links to clickbank products that don't work and thus you need to replace them with other clickbank products.
On the front page is a salespage for a product that you need to buy to sell - sort of like a forced upsell I guess.
You will need to change all the existing click bank affiliate ids to yours - not an easy task to do manually so you will need to find some search and replace software.

I tested out this script a couple of months ago now with the intension of selling it but decided against it as it didn't allow me to change it and then sell it. I was required to sell it as is and in all honesty I felt that it was not up to scratch to do so.

Now I have changed the front or home page into a page where I have been adding what I call "Hot Downloads". Changed all the products that are no longer available and fixed all the links that didn't work. I've also added my newsletter sign up form and changed the title on the header. That reminds me most of the SEO also needs changing for each page which I haven't done myself as yet.

To me this is a typical case of people selling something that they obviously haven't tried themselves.

OK Everyone wants to stop them right?

Whereas the marketers keep coming up with ones that are just so annoying that don't even have an "x" to close the dam things. Man I want to read what's underneath without enclosing my details for a product I probably don't want. OK you want me on your list first then I can read your stuff. Well got news for you if there is no "x" button on the pop up then there is an "x" button on the web page.

Recently I stumbled upon a funny video that shows not only how frustrating it is to get lots of popups but also how frustrating it is to try and get help when these popups take over our computer. And while I don’t endorse his method to stop popups or the way he handled tech support, I thought you could use a good laugh about these real life problems.

OK I don't suggest you try that so called "cure" as it will be probably terminal for your computer but suggest

1. Just a popup blocker as nearly all web browsers have one that you can turn on.

2. Keep away if possible from sites using lots of popups because they may also have ones that you can download or worse still just seem to download themselves if you have inadequate firewall and virus protection. These virus once download may contain viruses or spyware. There is no real way of identifying these sites but spam emails may contain links to such sites.

But some pop ups will just get through.

Maybe this is a job for "the secret" remedy so it's a case of visualise them no more and they will go away.

What's Your Sticking Point and How Will You Get Over It?

As you know, you either trade your time for dollars or you trade
products for dollars.

But let me relate a story that might be useful to you:

I'm involved in another market that I'm considering creating
products for. What I've found out is that MOST of the people
in that market do NOT want to spend more than the price of an
ebook to solve their sticking points and problems.

They expect to get everything they need off of a free forum.
Then, they go in the forum and post how discouraged they are!

Occasionally one person finally spends some money to buy some
quality information and know how. They post the gist of it
to the forum.

But since everyone is following different models, the result
is a mish-mash of methods that may or may not work and combine
well with each other. It's often the blind leading the blind.

Nothing is wrong with people helping people. I have a 6-day
forum to help my Info Product Dashboard buyers hook up with
each other.

What I've found is that ANY process has sticking points and
steps that trip most people up. But the right piece of know how
can help you get OVER that sticking point.

And I've found that there are so many POV's (points of view)
being promoted, people don't know WHAT to do. Understand that
marketers have affiliates who promote a specific agenda, angle,
method, approach or point of view in the forum.

Why? Because they sell a product RELATED to that POV. But
new people come in and get all caught up in the forum psychology.
They think that the dominant opinion of the forum must be
accurate.

That's not always true.

One of those sticking points in trading products for dollars is
finding your target market. Another one is doing surveys to
find out what people want to buy. Another one is figuring out
how to create info products if YOU are not personally an expert
on the topic.

These are sticking points you MUST get over to succeed. But those
sticking points and the right solution DEPENDS on what model you're
following.

Different models have different sticking points and different
solutions. You can't take one model, identify sticking points for
another model. Then grab solutions for a third model.

Or, more commonly, try to combine ALL the models into one! That
can be a REAL mess. Like let's take all good features from ALL
cars and vans and make the "Super Car!"

Or not.

The way you make progress is to identify YOUR sticking point.
Then work to get over THAT hump.

So the question is, "At this point in time, what is YOUR sticking
point?" What is keeping you from having your own products you
can trade for dollars?

Quick question: If you already HAVE a product, who is the target
market for it and did you DO a 12-product survey?

All the time I see people who have decided THIS is the product to
sell. But they don't know WHO they're going to sell it to. And
they haven't done a 12-product survey.

That's called a shot-in-the-dark. Maybe it'll work. Maybe it won't.
And doing about anything is better than doing nothing. At least
you'll learn if you do something.

Most people think you START with the product and then hunt for
someone to buy it. And while you can succeed doing that, I advise
you to start with a group of people you want to sell to. Come
up with product ideas. Do a survey.

Let them tell you what they want to buy.

And more importantly, ask yourself what your real sticking point
is. What's stopping you? Then, focus on overcoming that issue,
whatever it is.

1. If you don't have a target market, you need to solve this
puzzle. Who are you going to sell to?

2. If you can't come up with 12 product ideas for that market,
you need to learn HOW to do that.

3. If you can't figure out how to get people to take the survey,
you need to solve that issue.

4. If you can't find a way to get other experts to create your
product for you, you need to learn how to do that.

5. If you have the paralysis of analysis, you need to get over
it.

My Review of Lucid SEO

SEO or Search Engine Optimisation has always had me pulling out my hair as one guru says do this and another says no that's "old hat" you need to do this instead.

Finally a report that no only tells you how to do it and the truth about it but also in a simple way that I can easily understand. I knew certain SEO techniques worked through trial and error but now I know why they work. To me just the manual is worth the asking price alone.

However the manual is only part of a membership site that will have training videos and unadvertised bonuses (oops that was a surprise).

Additional modules will be rolled out next year.

Quantum Blogging in January 2008 - can't wait as I love blogging.

SEO Synergy - sounds complicated but if it's written in same style as the Lucid SEO manual then it will be easy to understand.

How to Find JV Partners!

I received an email today with some greeat information I'll like to share with you.

Here is the best tips we can give you about finding JVpartners to promote your product...

First off - DO NOT email ezine owners with your offer.

Read that again!

The reason that you should not just email your offerdirectly is because they almost certainly are receivingthese offers every single day of the week. Your email will probably not even get read.

The reason for this is nothing personal. It simply is amatter that the ezine owner will do anything to protect their list.

Their list is their livelyhood, so there is absolutely noway they will risk losing their reputation by sending outan offer from someone they don't even know.

Here's what to do...

Subscribe to their ezines. If they have a product at areasonable price, buy it. Review and study their productsand/or ezine. Then your first email to them is to tell them how good their product/ezine is.

Tell them their product is the best you've ever seen and their ezine is full of excellent information,

...make NO reference to your product/offer at this stage.

What you are doing here is flying under their radar. Theylove to be told how good their product/ezine is. They willmore often than not reply to your email.

What you should try and do at this point is build arelationship with them. Reply a couple more times,

...still just with complimentary emails.

If they keep replying, you are building their trust andconfidence in you.

Here's the killer blow:
